Ok, so if you have been following the news on Marvels upcoming Netflix shows (Daredevil, Aka Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and The Defenders) then it may not come as much as a surprise to you that Marvel and Netflix have just officially announced Halo Nightfall star Mike Colter as Luke Cage you can read the full press release from Marvel.com
HERE. He will be joining the already confirmed stars Charlie Cox (as Daredevil/Matt Murdock) and Krysten Ritter (as Jessica jones). Some may find it strange that his casting announcement has come before Iron Fist who is scheduled to be the 3rd series to debut after Daredevil and Jessica jones, But
given Cage and Jones relationship Cage had to be cast for his appearances in jones's show. Also yesterday it was tweeted by Daredevil showrunner Steven DeKnight that Daredevils series final has wrapped. I am anxious to see how these shows all play out and the connections if any to the already well established MCU (agents of shield cameos anyone??) Daredevil is set to appear on Netflix may 2015
